Falmouth Labour Vote to Support Corbyn

The Falmouth Branch of the Truro & Falmouth Constituency Labour Party held an extraordinary meeting about the leadership challenge in the wake of the Brexit vote. We did this to gauge the feelings and ideas of local members and supporters during this time of change.

The Watersports Centre was packed out with old and new members, respectfully expressing their views with overwhelming support for Jeremy Corbyn and his policies.

The following motion was passed by Falmouth Branch.  Now we'll be taking it to Truro & Falmouth Constituency Labour Party meeting on Thursday 21 July.

Motion

We, the Falmouth Branch of Truro and Falmouth Constituency Labour Party, deplore the actions of the Parliamentary Labour Party at this particular time of national crisis and give our unqualified support to Jeremy Corbyn. We ask that the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) respect the wishes of the Labour Party members who voted for him and gave him a massive mandate.
