Rebuild and Transform Industry

Jyoti Wilkinson tells of the rise and rise of local Labour membership following the unexpected closure of Courtaulds - the 100 year old firm, and major local employer, that had been asset-stripped by its wealthy owner who lives in Hong Kong.

The Tory government is letting our country down by allowing asset-strippers to dismantle our industries and ship capital abroad while leaving areas of our country destitute.  Only the Labour Party will take steps to prevent this happening in future.

All over the UK, people are now turning up in their droves to their local Labour branch meetings and they are becoming politically active within their communities.  There will be no need in future for voters to say, “What’s the point of voting?  You’re all the same.”

Labour, under the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn, will offer a real alternative to the neoliberalism of the past.  He pledges an end to austerity and promises the next Labour government will ensure no-one,and no area, will ever be left behind again.
