Say 'No' to ACOs

Creeping privatisation. We must say 'No' to ACOs.

Yesterday protesters in Truro called for sweeping changes to the way the NHS is run in Cornwall to be scrapped.

I think John Furze sums up ACOS well, "WHY THE ACOs ARE SUCH A CONCERN: ACOs derive from the USA's enormously expensive public/private healthcare systems. With their advent we, the public and taxpayers, will face having to pay increasingly for our healthcare costs. To get prompt, accessible treatment we will have to pay for it out of our own pockets and/or pay for health insurance.

Those of us who can't pay will face care rationing, delays, care denial and suffering for ourselves and those who matter to us. High risk patients, the sickness-prone and elderly, will face exclusion from care." Sign the petition and get out on 7th of Feb to protest against the ACOs.

Protest over fears of privatisation of NHS in sweeping changes for Cornwall

Protesters held a noisy demonstration outside County Hall in Truro on Wednesday (January 10) against sweeping changes to the way the NHS is run. The group waved placards beside the road and gathered outside the entrance over fears that proposed changes could lead to the privatisation of health services.
