Jeremy Corbyn pledges, “a national education service to all throughout their lives.” This will be radically different from this Tory government’s determination to increase the number of grammar schools – schools which benefit the few while creating inequality and lasting scars on children who fail to be offered places in them. A Labour government will bring about the progressive restoration of free university education and provide quality apprenticeships for all who want them.
