When has any Tory government ever been concerned about people struggling to survive on low wages – people coping with the nightmare uncertainty of zero hours contacts? The answer is never.

The inequality in Britain today has never been more shamefully obvious. People at the top of society, through the good luck of being born into wealthy families or by rising to the top of successful industries and professions, enjoy the privileges and comforts of all that life has to offer. They can indulge their whims to buy their second homes without a care about the damage they may be doing to the locals who struggle to exist on low wages.

Jeremy Corbyn says, “to have a home is a human right.  To have more than one is a privilege and it should be taxed.”

We need a Labour government to rebuild and transform the unequal society that exists in Britain today.
